Community and Commerce Working Together! The Powers Ferry Corridor Alliance is a non-partisan, non-profit community group composed of individuals, HOAs and business people, who are working together for the betterment of our area. The PFCA's purpose is to promote quality growth and revitalization, provide a forum for informed dialog, support our local public schools, and help the community's overall economic vibrancy.
PFCA Background
The Powers Ferry/Terrell Mill area was at the forefront of the East Cobb boom of the 1960s and 1970s. Today, many of the residential, commercial and business areas that made this such a desirable place to live, work and play are aging. In order to revitalize our area's appeal, we need smart redevelopment to enhance the community with new residential, shopping and offices. At the same time, these activities must be monitored and carefully managed to ensure the resulting redevelopment brings long-term benefits and avoids mistakes of the past. The PFCA is involved in many community-development initiatives, such as zoning and land use, education, traffic, public safety, and recreation. The organization provided input to the Powers Ferry Master Plan, the county's 20-year blueprint for the redevelopment of the area, which you can read about on our Master Plan page. To ensure our voice is strong in guiding the future of our community, we need your involvement as a member. It is very inexpensive to join. Please visit the membership page to complete your application. We look forward to having you! |
