Wheeler High School Robotics teams advance to world championships

Both of the Wheeler High School FTC teams have qualified for the 2025 FIRST World Championship this April (2026) in Houston. At the state level, FTC Team 11347 earned the 1st Place Inspire Award, and the FTC Team 1002 earned 2nd Place. These were the top two honors presented at the competition, and they marked a milestone for Wheeler's program and Cobb County's STEM education.

Wheeler 2025 ACT scores

#1 in Georgia for Traditional high schools

A huge congratulations to Wheeler students and teachers! Wheeler's average composite score of 28.5 is #1 in Cobb County and #1 among traditional high schools in Georgia. The ACT (American College Testing) tests students in four subject areas—English, math, reading and science, and combines those to determine a composite score as well. Read the excellent story in East Cobb News.

Wheeler 2024 ACT Scores At Top Of Cobb Again

For 2024, Wheeler and Walton share the top ACT rank in the county and  they're in the Top 10 among public high schools in Georgia. Congratulations to the students and staff! ​Wheeler 2023 ACT Composite score Leads Cobb Schools

According to figures released by the Cobb school district, Wheeler’s composite ACT score is 26.5, up from 23.4 in 2022. Wheeler is one of four Cobb schools with composite scores over 24. The others are also in East Cobb: Walton Walton (25.8), Pope (24.5), and Lassiter (24.4).
