The Powers Ferry Corridor is generally defined as the area within 2.5 miles of the intersection of Powers Ferry and Terrell Mill Roads. It is bounded to the west by I-75 and to the south by I-285 and a portion of Akers Mill Road.
In addition to the neighborhoods and businesses along Powers Ferry Road and Terrell Mill Road, the PFCA also serves those along Windy Hill Road, Windy Ridge Parkway, Wildwood Parkway, Interstate Parkway, and a short stretch of Delk Road. Our Mission

Single-Family Neighborhoods

Don't be surprised when your neighbor has an ADU for rent in their backyard.
Under the proposed code amendments, if a single-family neighborhood doesn't have strong protective covenants, any homeowner could put a free-standing Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) of up to 850 sq. ft. in their backyard and rent it.
However many backyards you can see, that's how many ADUs you could be looking at. Many neighborhoods would logically end up with more people, more cars, more deliveries, more trash pickups, and more noise. What's not to like? |
Don't be surprised when the "family" next door is actually just unrelated adults.
Under the proposed code amendments, the concept of a single-family neighborhood will be turned on its head. It will still be called single-family, but "family" members can all be unrelated.
Definition as proposed: "A single-family dwelling unit consists of one or more rooms which are arranged, designed or used as living quarters for one family including up to three unrelated adults, or four or fewer unrelated adults and their children and/or grandchildren." |

EōS Fitness to transform Old Kroger site!
EōS uses dazzling design in its fitness centers across the country.
The old Kroger site at 1122 Powers Ferry Road is set to become the newest EōS Fitness Center, one of 200 across the country. The 4.8-acre property and its 48,000 sq. ft. building will get a massive makeover.

The PFCA and Keep Cobb Beautiful put on these cleanups in the Spring and Fall. The Fall date is usually in October. Email volunteer@powersferryca.com and ask to be put on the list to be notified when the date is set.

Wheeler ACT scores
#1 in Cobb County and #2 in Georgia
Kudos to Wheeler High School students and teachers. Wheeler's average composite score was 28.5. Among traditional high schools in Georgia, it was the top score.

data center proposal for delk at I-75 is Approved
(Note: This application was in progress before the Council enacted a data center moratorium that is set to end Dec. 31, 2026.)
At its packed meeting on August 12, 2026, the Marietta City Council approved a revised application for a data center at 1155 Powers Ferry Place, which is near Delk Road and I-75. This property is in the City of Marietta, but is also within the western border of the Powers Ferry Corridor, so we have been following the application closely, including attending City Council meetings.
This will be an 18 MW data center, occupying about half of the existing Prime Storage warehouse. It is designated as “mission critical” to deliver the low-latency response that hospitals, emergency services, and public safety need.
